This pipeline program is designed to provide opportunities for learning and skill development for college women interested in women's health. Through paid internships, participants learn about and contribute to the field of women's health, gain work experience and are mentored by a site supervisor. Through the leadership development curriculum, interns learn leadership skills such as public speaking, networking, communication and time management and interpersonal skills such as maintaining high self-esteem, stress management and working in a group.

Benefits: In addition to experience, leadership development and mentoring, GWI Interns are hired on as limited employees of UCSF at a pay rate of $10.00/hour and must be eligible to work. Valid documentation confirming eligibility to work will be required at the time of hire.
