
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at UCSF with Kaiser, Northern California offers summer research internships in women's health to undergraduate students enrolled at the University of California at Berkeley who are planning to attend medical school after graduation, and who have an interest in women's health. Students should be sophomores, juniors or seniors in the fall of 2010 at UCB. The research internships are 9 weeks in length (June 1–July 30, 2010) and will be based with a faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, with ½ day per week of clinical shadowing at UCSF and Kaiser Oakland and ½ day of Women's Health lectures/field trips. We are particularly interested in the following: diverse backgrounds, premed, UCB GPA above 3.3; 1st generation to go to college; no doctors in family or limited access to medical field mentoring.
