Dr. Carolyn Sufrin is a member of the UCSF Ob/Gyn & Reproductive Sciences faculty and an obstetrician-gynecologist at San Francisco General Hospital. She also provides Ob/Gyn services at the San Francisco County Jail. Dr. Sufrin has written an insightful piece about her experiences as a prison obstetrician, delivering babies whose mothers are shackled to the bed.
